From the 4th Dec. 2017 the club is held in the back room (lounge) of
The George & Dragon
109 High Street
The pub is at the junction of Norton High Street and Mill Street. For a map, click here
or here for the pub's facebook page
There is parking on the High St and a few spaces on Mill St near the pub. The narrow access roads parallel to the High Street are probably best avoided: some have double yellow lines. There is also parking around Norton Green and in front of some of the shops. We're new to this area too so any local advice welcomed!
Buses: Stagecoach run two evening bus services connecting to Stockton High Street, Middlesbrough bus station and points in between: 37 M'bro to Hardwick (North Tees Hospital); 38 M'bro to Norton. Both stop at Norton Library, a few yards from the pub. If you are prepared to walk a little further, Stagecoach 36 (M'bro / Stockton to Hartlepool) stops near The Red Lion on Norton Road, a short walk from Norton High St. and about 10 minutes from the George and Dragon. GO North East X10 (M'bro / Stockton to Newcastle) also stops near The Red Lion (listed on their timetable as Norton Territorial Army Centre). Routes and timetables available online.
By car: for satnav use the postcode above.
From the South via A19 - leave on the slip road signed Billingham and Norton A139 and at the roundabout take the second exit up the bank (Billingham Road). At the next roundabout near The Red Lion turn right (third exit) then right again onto Norton High St. In about a quarter of a mile the pub is on your left.
From the North via A19 - leave on the slip road signed Billingham and Norton A1027 and at the roundabout take the third exit toward Norton. At the next Roundabout, near the parish church, turn left (first exit) onto Norton Green and the High St. After the roundabout near the duck pond watch out for parking but you go straight ahead here for the pub which is on the right in about 300 yards.
From the North via A1 and Sedgefield - come into Stockton on the A177. At the first roundabout (near Tesco and Macdonalds) turn left (first exit) onto Junction Road. After about a mile and a half, at the next roundabout (near the parish church) take the second exit onto Norton Green - then as above.
From Darlington and the A66 - it's easiest to stay on the A66 to the A19 slip road then head North over the Tees flyover. Follow the first set of directions above.
If any of these directions are confusing or appear wrong let us know and we'll try and improve them.
